Our LAST week in Minnesota

Mary showing me a play set she had made at school

My dear friend Michelle came over on Monday of our last week and we had a picnic lunch.

Getting in all the goodbyes I can. My sweet BSF leader and postpartum doula with Thomas.

We had planned our evenings to visit friends and have dinner since Kyle would be gone. So blessed to have friends to feed us during this chaotic transition.

Wednesday night we went to our friend's The Kelly's. We met Michelle and Enoch in a newly marrieds group back in 2009 at church (Open Door), we've been long time friends through all the years and changes. We've had fun camping trips, running events, birthdays, game nights, and so much more. Love them!

I love that we got in some Jesse Tree devotions, we had started and kept it back but with the move we weren't on track. Fun to do it with friends and see their tree as well. We all had the same ornaments from a Jesse Tree exchange: http://growingandsewinglesa.blogspot.com/2014/11/advent-jesse-tree-exchange.html

Big good bye hugs exchanged. Little Olive here shares a birthday with my girls :-)

Crazy that this popped up in my time feed. Lance and Thomas <3 p="">

Something I had been thinking about was a tattoo and what better time to get it than to have some meaning with leaving Minnesota.

I choose a dragon fly for the few reasons in this write up I combined:

Joy holds a few different meaning. Everyday we choose how we want to live, we choose to be happy or sad, we choose to be kind or mean. We have to CHOOSE the JOY if that's how we want to live. It doesn't come easy and a lot of days it's really hard. I want this to be my reminder to choose the JOY.

Joy also stands for Jesus, Others, and Yourself. So remembering to put Jesus first will help bring about more joy in my life.

Thursday night we went over to my friend Jana's house. She had cookies for us to decorate and it was fun to have one last playdate with all the kids.

She was also a part of our Jesse Tree exchange and had the ornaments as well. We did another nights demo with them.

Friday, Kyle returned and we went out to eat at Surly with our nanny: Emily and her new husband Ethan. Can't believe we'd never been to Surly it was fun to finally make it there.

On Sunday evening when we took Kyle to the airport we discovered this house in Edina and it's crazy light display. Emma loved it and insisted we take daddy back to see it. So Friday night we took a drive after dinner to watch the house again. We pulled off and heard all the songs through like we did the first time we saw it. Pretty cool.
