Thomas is 3 months

He is growing so fast!
thomas 3 months-6
And this is his signature face :-D He loves to make the look of "what is going on here people!?!" or "what have you birthed me into?" LOL

Just in the past weeks he has been such a chill little guy. Thursday and Friday I was able to set him in his rock'n'play in the kitchen and although he was tired and getting kind of fussy, he ended up being content watching me cook or do the dishes. He's in somewhat of a routine of being awake for 1-1.5 hours, sometimes 2 hours at a time. Then sleeps well either in his swing or while he's being worn. He is used to the hustle and bustle of being on the go. Taking sisters to preschool, walking to the bus stop, or going to soccer games. He does really good in the car now and no longer hates his car seat. He likes to look at his animal friends on his play mat or above his head in the swing. He still loves being worn and close to mama, probably always will.

He has a little cold right now so he's congested at night, but besides the stuffy nose at night he's a really good sleeper. Unfortunate that it correlates on my work weekend so this mama isn't getting much rest. This is the second or third cold, poor guy. The girls had colds earlier on too, but Isaac was already 6 months before his first cold.

He's growing so fast and out of a lot of his earlier clothes already. So crazy how little time some of those baby things get used. He's wearing 3-6 month clothes and some 6-9 month clothes. Still in size 2 diapers. Newborn and 1 flew by it seems. We did wear some cloth diapers this past week and probably will when we're home. It's just easier to throw him in disposables when we are out and about, but I know the cloth is better on his bum and better for the environment, so I'll do my best.

He loves his siblings and give them big smiles these days. Still a little suspect of his smothering sisters, but Emma does a really good job of comforting him and keeping him happy. Mary really wants to but most often can't contain her love and ends up right in his face to the point he gets fussy. We're still working on that :-/

End of Belly Pics

Figured I should do an update. When I blogged the last update  I thought I'd have at least 5 more weeks maybe even 7 or 8 to include in the final but turns out I only have 2.5 weeks to share.

36 weeks, baby is the size of a spaghetti squash:

36 weeks was also the mark of home delivery! We had our home visit at this time and if the baby had come before 36 weeks we'd have to transfer to a hospital. It was pretty exciting to have her come to our home. It was Kate, my midwife, Jess, my doula, and Elizabeth the midwife's assistant. They got to see the space, make sure we had all our supplies gathered, she sized the bathroom faucet and left the hose adapter which would be used to fill the birth tub. And then it was like all the other visits where we got to hear the baby. The girls are very familiar with this part and love to turn the machine on and off. (one turns it on and one turns it off)

37 weeks, the baby is the size of romaine lettuce...? Okay whatever.

That was the last Saturday picture I got because baby came the following Friday. But here is a pic from Thursday evening out to dinner: (37w5d)

Oh this is actually my last 'baby in belly' pic, taken Friday July 7th roughly 4:00pm. Light contractions had started, we just ate lunch and were getting ready to go for a walk to get the contractions going more and I found my P90x3 shirt had arrived in the mail!

Maternity Photos

Before we went to Missouri I had a little maternity session with Megan Crown Photography. She has been photographing our family ever since Isaac's birth. I didn't want to do a big family session since we just did one in October (which I JUST realized I never blogged those photos... add that to my to do list) but I did want to document my last baby belly. She recently did a milk bath with another client and I just loved how that photo turned out. I also wanted something similar to what I did myself when the girls were in my belly.

This was me with the twins at 37 weeks: BIG-OL-BELLY! still can't believe it.

Here are some of the photos from my session with Megan at the end of May, I was 32 weeks with baby number four at the time.

Belly Bump

Ooops it's been a while since I posted a belly update. I am still taking progressive pics but the fruit/veggie tracking is getting wonky so I haven't been as good getting it each week.

Let me get caught up. I left off here at 22 weeks so here are the next 13 weeks.

23 weeks he was the size of a grapefruit (?? I think that is what that is, lol)

24 weeks he was the size of a cantaloupe

25 weeks... he was the size of a cauliflower but I didn't get a photo of that.

26 weeks he was the size of kale... but wtf, so I utilized our butternut squash instead.

27 weeks he was the size of lettuce... another wtf. So I used the jar of peanut butter analogy. There are graphics available in a photo app I use and they claimed at 27 weeks baby is the size of cauliflower. Which my baby progress app had already used, like I mentioned it all starts getting wonky and overlapping the further along I get.

28 weeks he is the size of an eggplant.

Still working out strong. I finished up P90x3 a few weeks after this photo.

I didn't get an official 29 week photo but I did have fun editing some photos with this baby in belly art. At 29 weeks he was the size of an acorn squash.

30 weeks he was the size of a cucumber or zucchini. I think I officially 'popped' after this week.

31 weeks got back into actually going out and buying what I needed. He was the size of asparagus here.

At 32 weeks we took our trip to Missouri so I didn't get an official belly photo. But I did get a photo with my friend who just had her baby boy at 42 weeks. (she is about 39/40 weeks in this photo I think). 32 weeks he was the size of 'squash'.

At 33 weeks he was the size of celery. I probably should have had one with the leafy on top, but I had this in my fridge already so it will have to do.

34 weeks, again no official food photo, but he was the size of butternut squash (again), maybe a bigger one... Also this was Shaun Week on Beachbody On Demand! Super fun to do those workouts with some modifications.

And finally this week, back to fruit: size of a pineapple.

Baby Update midway point

A little overdue for an update, well 11 days. We had an ultrasound on March 10th. And everything looked good! Praise the Lord. We had missed the early trimester screening and decided not to do the quad scan, so we were praying for a good read. That hematoma had also cleared up (or debris of second baby).

Baby was very active and it was fun to watch HIM! (Yes it's a BOY!)

He might have big feet like his brother.

Luckily no news is good news so nothing else really to report. Here is an updated timeline of my belly photos. It's been fun (and challenging) to get the designated fruit each week. I had to search all over for a pomegranate. Ended up paying $4.99 for it, but at least it tasted good and the kids enjoyed eating it. The artichoke was only $2.99 and it didn't get eaten. I was excited about the coconut ($3.99) but when we got it open half of it appeared to be rotten :-(

Here are some outtakes and misc belly pics.

This was today, Mary LOVES snuggling with baby and gets in quality baby time everyday. If she leans on too hard, or bumps into my belly she will say "sorry baby". In the morning she likes to get under the covers and curl up with my belly. It is the sweetest thing ever.
