Wrapping up the end of summer. Isaac had a reading bingo he was filling out all summer and one of the squares was to read a book then watch its movie. I had heard that this movie was out and remembered the cute little kid book so I borrowed Harold and the Purple Crayon from a friend, read through it then we all went to see the movie. Of course it was an easy picture book but Isaac is a pretty big reader and most of his books are super long so thought it'd be fun to do this.
Morning HUMID run with Oakley, his face says it all.
Isaac started school on a Monday, but not until 1:00 so we hit the beach that morning for one last family beach trip of the summer.
First day of 7th grade.
Thomas got to meet his teacher and see his classroom.
Other happenings. Lots of rain and flooding.
Trip to valley fair!
Thomas started on a Wednesday. First day of 2nd grade at a new school!
Another run with Oakley, trying to wear him out.
The girls didn't start until the following week, after Labor Day so we had a fun girls day on Thursday. Went to Candy Land and then had brunch out.
Picking up Thomas from school, got there way early to sit in the parent pick up line and it was HOT in the van.
Picking up Isaac that same day and watched as a huge storm rolled in. They actually held the kids late due to the storm warning but it didn't actually start raining until the warning was over and we were heading home.
