July 11-13th my friend Blair came to visit with her family. She has two girls, the oldest is the girls age and the other is a couple years younger. They had SO much fun playing. It was so great to have them visit. And crazy enough, it was 9 years ago to the day that we got together in Minnesota. We will get together again and try not to let a full 9 years go by BUT in 9 years we HAVE to keep the tradition going, lol.
First night was a bit of musical beds. The girls all started off downstairs in the living room pull out.. but claimed it was too hot (probably from ALL the blankets they had piled on, lol)
They arrived Sunday evening. On Monday we had a lazy morning, played around the house then drove out to Stearman's Restaurant. It's a bar and grill that is on the runway so you can watch the planes come and go.
Monday night we had a movie night after dinner and watched Cruella
Timehop alerted us that we were together exactly 9 years ago, lol.
Tuesday we did a little Wichita sight seeing and took them to see the Keeper of the Plains
Then we had a late lunch at River City Brew Co, we love siting out on this patio in Old Town Wichita.
Food took FOREVER! But the kids did great entertaining themselves.
Tuesday evening we went to the North Y water park... not the best experience because so much was closed due to low staffing. The slides weren't open, the wave pool wasn't going off very often. :-( big bummer but we had fun and felt nice to cool off.
They headed back south the next morning, driving to Amarillo to see some family. So thankful they drove up for the visit!
