After knowing Harpo was somewhere safe, our minds rested at ease a little and we carried forward with our plans to go to the State Fair on Labor Day (Monday Sept 5th). We did the park and ride thing again, but instead of a nice charter bus we had a public transit bus and had to stand since it was packed completely full.
Followed by cheese curds next door. These are the BEST!
Then we went to the DNR building and area.
We did the north area the first trip so we focused on the south area and the animal barns with Kyle.
Finished our scavenger hunt getting all the historic stamps in our booklet.
Discovered a new area, well new to us. The International bazaar. Great food from Holy Land.
Then over to the agriculture building.
They had some cool displays. Little Shop of Horror, Ghost Busters, and Harry Potter were our favs.
I think this was from another visit through Little Farm Hands.
We searched EVERYWHERE for the bead art... it was back in the ag building so we had to retrace our steps and visit this building again.
It was getting PRETTY crowded! And we were getting tired so we made our way back to the bus station.
First getting a deep fried pickle.
And we visited a little historic building that had a ton of info about past fairs. And hey we didn't miss the fair in 2020!
Until next time!
