December 4th, 2021 Isaac's 10th Birthday

Isaac ended up getting a stomach bug the day before his birthday :-( seems like a common thing that happens every few years. Huge bummer to be sick on your birthday. This was a Friday so thankfully he didn't miss a lot of school and it was short lived so he was better come Monday. His actual birthday fell on a Saturday. We had plans for a little party on Sunday but postponed it because he still had a fever on Saturday afternoon. Covid free though!

Saturday morning we started his birthday off with birthday waffles!

Then he got to open some of his presents.

Pokemon cards! Hard to come by after the pandemic.

Viking shirt since he's out grown his others.

Grandma Cindy sent this fun domino maze, he spent most of the afternoon playing it.

I made his special birthday cake, kids get to pick the colors they want the icing to be. Candles only on his piece of cake since he wasn't feeling well and we didn't want him blowing on the whole cake, haha. Covid gives a new perspective to the whole blow your candles out on your birthday cake then serve your spit to everyone, LOL.

Love this kid! He's smart, funny, goofy, kind, caring. He's respectful and outgoing. Always wants to give his best and has a serving heart by helping other especially at school as he finishes his work before everyone else then goes around the class and helps the teacher out by helping others. He loves sports and has a passion for competition. He works hard, he's great at piano although it's not his favorite. I have been blessed to be his mother and watch him grow up these past ten years!

That night the little three went to parents night out at the YMCA and we took Isaac on his birthday date. We had sushi for dinner and did an escape room. The escape room is attached to an arcade so we snuck over and did one round of go carts before needing to go pick up the kids. Fun to have this one on one time.

A couple weeks later his gift from Grandma Judy arrived, she got him a subscription to KiwiCrate which is a box that comes with an activity to build. This first one was an art box. He got to build the motor and learn the pieces of connecting cirrus. Then had lots of fun making different spin art papers.

We ended up having his little party the following Sunday, he invited 3 friends to go to the trampoline park with him but only one ended up being able to go. It was still fun and they had a blast. Siblings were happy to go as well :-)

Only Mary and Liam were interested in doing the ropes course.

Happy Birthday Isaac!!
