Start of the School Year (last week of August)

Wow I just keep getting further behind on this blog. Life is busy, I'm working more, running kids around, and Kyle's traveling for work more. One good thing that came out of covid was the slowness of life, that is not the case anymore. Thankful everyone has been healthy the past month or so!

Alright where did I leave off. Yes Isaac started school August 28th, a week before everyone else. Kyle was traveling to Europe that week (much like last week in present time - writing this only 3 months later)

Met up with a friend at a park then had lunch. Attempt at a kid photo:

He's playing tackle football this fall. Game on Tuesday evening.

My cousin was visiting from Chicago and stopped by with her baby :-)

Oh Wednesday August 31st, we utilized our MN Zoo membership one last time before it expired (THAT DAY) to experience the new Treetop Trail that replaced the old monorail. It was a nice walk, not much animal viewing but a pretty nature walk.

Kyle sending us pics from Denmark.

Thursday evening the three littles had their elementary open house in preparation for their first day of school the following week after Labor Day.
Girls are in 4th grade and Thomas is in 1st.

September 1st I started an 150 mile bike riding challenge. Getting in my first set of miles on a morning bike ride:

That evening there was an end of year beach party in our neighborhood. Fire and Ice with a fire show after the sun went down.

I'll make a separate post for our Labor Day adventure.

Kids started school September

Missed getting a picture of all three together before school so worked with what we had. Emma ran back in to get Mary but then we'd lost Thomas.

Since I didn't get a picture of all three before school, we tried again after school... but as you can see Thomas is tired and not wanting to participate.
