Christmas 2018

Christmas morning the kids came into our room. Isaac came in, he hadn't gone downstairs yet, then the girls came in saying Santa had moved the stockings. I asked if they looked in them yet and they said no. We decided to just get up then and look at what Santa brought. So magical to watch your kids on Christmas morning.

Christmas Day-8

After sometime going through stockings we thought we'd eat some food while we wait for Thomas to get up. Isaac received a video game so we were going to let him play. Glad we let him get it stated because it ended up having some massive download and update it needed to run through. It took about TEN HOURS! For it to complete so it was running ALL FRIGGIN' DAY! I was going to try and get my workout in since Thomas was snoozing but as soon as I went upstairs I heard him so decided to just get him up and start on presents. We had all had something to eat. Having to tell the kids they couldn't have anymore candy until they ate real food.

Isaac being a goof standing in front of the camera waiting for it to go off.
Christmas Day-11

The kids got the presents sorted and we started the opening process.

The video (posted below) is priceless in Emma's reaction to the large hatchimals.

Video:

Mary was rocking her hatchimal and being so motherly to it. They're going to be such good moms when they grow up. <3 p="">

Thomas having fun playing with the girls toys. He didn't really get any toys because well we just have TOO MANY TOYS! But even so he prefers to play with his big siblings toys than baby toys. He did get some farm animal puppets and new bath toys (which we need to start giving him more baths, ha)

We started to play a family game of clue when the hatchimal started to HATCH! So the game paused for the main hatching event. Of course it was Mary's to hatch first because she had been doing a good job of incubating it.

They loved that they came out. We really didn't have an idea what was going to happen, just that they were a BIG egg. They have the little hatchimals, but that this one is so interactive they are in LOVE.

They love caring for them, and Isaac has actually enjoyed it the past couple days too. He is pretty proud that he can get them both to sleep. We call him the baby whisperer, I told him he's good cuz he's the big brother to twins.

Thomas had kind of a rough day cuz he was still probably so tired from the day before. He was happy to get some toys out to play with. Poor buddy so much going on, hard to get 1:1 attention at the level he wants when everyone is doing everything and people are trying to play games he can't be a part of cuz he just knocks the pieces around :-/

Isaac's game FINALLY loaded... at one point I stopped it hoping maybe if we stopped and started it that it would speed to the finish. But it actually ended up making and error and we had to delete everything and start from scratch, oops. But we had no where to be anyway... after about ten hours it was good to go and Isaac finally got to play his new racing game.

Thomas was happy after a nap.

The girls were coloring their new socks.

Isaac did a great job coloring his as well:

And that's a wrap on this year's Christmas
Christmas Day-17

Here's our annual Christmas Timelapse!

Wednesday Kyle had to go back to work. Thomas is playing with his puppets and wearing a new outfit.

Thursday we had some snow overnight, but turned to rain during the day so the snow turned to SLUSH! We went outside to shovel the slush. It was SOOO wet! Everyone was soaked. Luckily the big kids snow gear is good and they were all dry underneath. But Thomas was in an infant snow suit and crappy boots, so his feet were soaked as well as his knees underneath (as you can see) We came in and made hot chocolate with the hot cocoa spoons they got in their stockings.
