Here are the chicken's 5 week photos. I am working on a collage of birth through week 6 to include this past weeks (today they are 7 weeks old - just a little behind)
It's getting HARDER to capture a photo of them haha.
They love being outside of their run.
Beep Beep is our Alpha Hen and Anna is our Alpha Roo. Not sure how many of each we have... but after looking at tail feather in week 6 we might have 4 roosters and 3 hens.
I don't have a photo of Olaf up above on the chair, but here she is in action.
Here's the inside of their coop. Got their food hanging. We ended up moving their outdoor food inside (as you see lower in the blog post) But since then I"ve taken that out and got another hanging feeder just like the red one.
Good Morning!
We try and let them free range a few times a day. We stay outside with them when they are out just so a hawk doesn't swoop in and get them. They love going over in the weeks and pecking at all the bugs they can find.
Tail feather sexing. When the feathers are rounded and full that means HEN and when they are scruffy and pointed that means ROOSTER. It's still a little early to tell. Beep Beep below is a hen, since this photo her tail feathers are fuller.
Thinking this one might be a rooster.
