Basement Before

Last October, when the idea came up that we wanted to re-do our basement I got some 'before' pictures. At this time we were mainly using it as our workout space. When we lived in the apartments we had a YMCA membership, when we bought the house we needed to cut back $$ as much as possible and purchased a lot of workout equipment off of craigslist, or got it free. Well last fall we joined LA Fitness because we could work it back into our budget. Since then we've sold all our workout stuff on craigslist again (pretty much for what we bought it at!)

Here is the layout of our before basement:

Hopefully this can kinda help you guide through these photos, I know it's kinda hard to wrap your head around if you've never physically stood in our basement.

I did not put any picture of our laundry room and furnace area as we do not plan to finish that area.

Missouri Trip

We went home a few weekends ago (June 4th-6th) for my High School reunion. Of course I got some fun pictures of the girls.

Here we are Saturday morning, hanging around the house.

Aliyah was having her first ballet recital that evening! Since I had my HS reunion, we went to the noon dress rehearsal

Sunday morning we got up and played around the house as well. Brayden wasn't feeling good all weekend, fever and running nose. And I think the girls were starting to catch it at this point. But here they are all playing together, I had to snap it quick because they didn't stay in this spot for long, lol.

Sunday evening we went for Andy's ice cream and then to a park with my mom, "Grandma Judy". The kids had a blast!

I think I took these actually Sunday afternoon. Alyson was so funny, she was laughing and smiling spinning on this and then when Aliyah or Brayden came close she'd yell "LEE-AH GO AWAY!" "NO" then immediately go back to smiling at me, lol.

This was as we were leaving Monday morning. Alyson came up to me holding these sunglasses to her head so I put them on her. Then she just kept running around with them on, it was SOO funny!

Getting caught up {project 52}

Well I think it's about time to get caught up with my project 52 photos. There were a few that I was holding off on for obvious reasons :-)

March 14th I took the first pregnancy test (the top one) then the following morning I took the second! SQUEEEE!

I have sewed quite a few cloth diapers in preparation for the baby, I got some 'practice' (ugly) fabric to start with and will get some nicer funner prints once we find out what it is we're having!

I can't remember if I posted this one yet or not, but this was after a nice long walk to the local Pet Salon to get Harpo's nails trim. He loves walks, poor fellow doesn't get too many, I should really be better about that!

We made a trip home to Missouri for my High School Reunion. I had so many favorites, but just going on photo characteristics I choose this one :-)

Since I haven't been running in the mornings with Sally I have missed seeing all my duck families. (with softball and working out running is taking a backseat until softball is over) Kyle and I searched for baby ducks the weekend we went to the nature center. I was so happy to see this lone fellow when we went to the zoo!

Como Zoo 6/11/11

Last Saturday, June 11th. We went to the Como Zoo with some friends of ours. I was really wanting to get some giraffe pictures, for the babies room because that's kinda the theme I'm going with, but the giraffe's were just standing in front of their concrete building which doesn't make for very good pictures!! But here are some of the fun animals we saw!

That is the SAME baby chimp that we watched play around last year. I couldn't believe he was born in 2007 and still is so little. They take a while to grow!

Nature Center & Photo 22

2 Saturday's ago we went to the Nature Center before I had to head to work later that afternoon. Originally we had driven around to a few lakes because I was in search of baby ducks... but we did not find any. Instead I remember a friend of ours telling us about this nature center near by. It actually is quite close to our house! As we pulled up we spotted turkeys!!!

Then we walk down to the lake. We didn't take the trail around the lake, we'll have to come back for that, but we did spot some birds, geese, and a turtle.
