January 2025

WooHoo! I'm finally blogging in the same year. Just a few months behind I'll get caught up.

New Year's Day ice fishing

Bowling on January 2nd.

Friday started a 3 week series of lessons for ALL 4 kids. The only open spot was in the evening, not the most ideal time but they got their lessons in and had fun.

Sunday morning run with Oakley and so many people out on the ice.

Isaac doing a video assignment for band.

For Christmas we got Oakley a DNA test, the results came in!
51% Golden Retriever and 43% Australian Shepherd

Isaac had solo fest for band. It was fun to watch him then the judge gave him a mini-lesson with some drumming tips.

January 11th Saturday Ice skating on Lake of the Isles

Followed by tubing with neighbor friends the following day. Getting in ALL the winter activities.

While we were tubing the dad's of this girl group and the boys were ice fishing

The MOON!

I was a chaperone for Isaac's 7th grade field trip to the Mia (Minneapolis Institute of Art)

Beautiful morning after an indoor swim. Art Shanty's set up on the ice at Lake Harriet.

Friday night ski lessons

Early Saturday morning baseball clinic

Followed by a birthday party with a friend who just moved out of the neighborhood!

We took a trip to the Children's Museum on Jan 20th MLK day, I can't believe how much time the kids spent playing! So we got a membership again.

Mary started ice skating lessons, she advanced quickly.

Girls practicing cello

Jan 25th
Getting in some ice skating time on the lake again. Trying to go once a week giving Mary two times a week on the ice to practice.

I got out too, they have free skates to use in the warming house.

More ice fishing.

And snow starting to melt as the winter stays warm.

Isaac had another band concert.
