Isaac's 2nd Birthday!

I had to work Tuesday night, so I ran by the grocery store after work to pick up some gluten free snacks (for a playdate the next morning) and grabbed a football balloon while I was out. Then came home to get birthday decorations up. Kyle helped by blowing up some balloons for me, so all I had left was to get stuff hung at midnight when I got home :)









He was pretty excited to see all the decorations when he woke up. Saying his own version of "happy birthday".


I made animal pancakes for breakfast




Then we walked a block and a half away to a friends for a quick playdate. Got to see a snow plow on the way

He took a good nap and by the time he got up Kyle was on his way home. Once Kyle was home we went outside to play in the snow while Kyle shoveled (the second time that day, I shoveled earlier in the day but it was snowing all day so we had quite the build up)

And we made some snowballs!!!! He was very excited. His favorite shirt is his "no-ball" shirt (which he was wearing this day).




Then we came inside and went downstairs for presents while dinner finished. He was pretty excited about his new "bass-it-ball-gool"

He was or actually had been a stinker all day. But at dinner time he wasn't wanting to eat but instead sit on the potty with the iPad... and since it was his birthday we let him :) Then we had cupcakes!






He got the blowing down, but not straight... he blows out the corner of his mouth which ends up pushing the air up not out :-P

Thanksgiving trip to Missouri

We haven't gone home the past two thanksgiving, due to school last year and Isaac's awaited arrival the year prior. So finally this year we were able to hop on the old tradition of treking home for turkey day. Since it is a long trip 8-10 hours (10-12 hours with a toddler) we decided to make a week out of it. Luckily we were able to get a lot of family visits in which was nice.

We started with Kyle's family the first few nights.

Isaac's grandma pulled out this little chair from the basement that worked perfectly for his spot at the table.

Isaac's Great Auntie Dottie & Uncle Dale stopped by for a nice visit.

Kyle's parents actually live in the same town my parents grew up in so I have some of my side of the family there as well. We paid a visit to my Uncle's house. Isaac got to see his second cousin Zach and his mom as well as his Great Aunt/Uncle.

We got to see Kyle's grandpa, "Great Gran-pa" 

My Aunt also lives in this town. So we saw Great "Aunt DD" and Uncle Cecil.

Then we headed down south another hour and a half to stay with my family for the remainder of the week. Isaac was such a good boy being with all the adults and seeing so many family members. It was nice for him to just let lose with his cousins and play, play, play!!


He loved having Aliyah "Dea" read to him. He is still talking about her.

We went over to the new house to take a look at all the remodeling. Isaac took a spill in the hallway knocking his head into the corner of the door frame. Swell up really quick to quite the goose egg, but luckily went back down almost as fast. The picture doesn't really do it justice.
