Having my drone out for Bayfield gave me the bug to capture some more so I brought it to one of my last out door swims to capture the pool. Fun to see it from this angle.
August 5th was National Night out. Thomas had a baseball game but joined us at the neighbors when he got home. Lots of big kids taking over the baby splash pad slide.
Isaac's football practice started. He made both these collages that were shared by one of the coaches.
Training has shifted to running now that I have a ten mile to prepare for. Oakley likes that. And ran a little father than planned. Wanted less than four but ended up doing four and a half.

Thomas lost a tooth! It's taken him a bit to lose teeth, probably due to them being all crowded. He got an expander at the end of this month (August).
Top tooth is wiggly and then seven hours later he pulled it out!
One of my swimming buddies has been inviting me to the monthly full moon swims they do at our nearby lake. I'm usually just too tired from the day to make it, BUT we finally did! Kyle came with me and served as a safety paddler on the paddle board. It was a gorgeous night. Took longer than I thought for the moon to come up, but it was fun. And we looked so cool with lights in our swim buoys just bopping across the water. Like little colorful bubbles swimming.
August 9th
August 10th we took Oakley to the dog park down by the Mississippi River.
We used to take Harpo here. He loved running around, he's not a fan of swimming but did get his feet wet - which led to lots of sand and a dirty dirty dog. We went straight to get washed after this.
Trivia night at Pizza Luce
Celebratory malts afterwards.
Thomas's late summer baseball league started. This is his first season of kid pitch. Kyle was one of the coaches.
And would you believe it!?! A whole two years after the hail storm and exactly one year to the DAY our roof tile finally arrived for our new roof install.
For my birthday I wanted to finally check out this sauna and cold plunge place called Portal Thermaculture. Kyle and I made a little date night out of it and went. Pretty relaxing. The cold plunge was miserable for the 2-3 minutes you're in there but it actually left our bodies feeling amazing. They recommend three cycles of 15 minutes sauna then 3 minutes cold plunge. We'll def be going back.
Then out to eat at Freehouse to use one of my birthday perks.
