Friday we had scheduled a boat tour of the Apostle Islands. It was very smokey from the Canadian wild fires and the AQI was up near 160... so it was pretty hard to see off in a distance. From the day we arrived throughout the weekend the AQI did get better, but for a boat tour of islands in the distance it was hard to really get to see it all.
We boarded the boat and got seats at the top.
Made our way out to the furtherest island: Devil's island. This was the one that had all the cool rock formations
Heading back.
Here's where my swim would start the following morning:
They randomly selected a winner on each boat ride and I was PICKED! My prize was this drawing.
A walk out to the pier while waiting for packet pickup to open.
Saw lots of my swimmer friends at packet pickup. Ready for race day the next morning.
We had lunch and then drove a little ways down the shoreline to a beach to swim. Kids had fun burying each other in the sand.
I did a little drone flying.
Went back to the airBnB to change then walked into town for dinner.
Made another walk over in the middle of town to get ice cream and a photo by the sign.
