Springbreak to Missouri

Our spring break was the first week of April. With Isaac going to middle school next year and a different district this is actually the last time we'll have all four kids getting the SAME spring break. Kinda sad, but we'll figure it out, just prob no more spring break trips for us.

We drove down Friday (through a tornado) and stay with Kyle's mom for an evening. Here we are at a pit stop in Kansas City.

Saturday we drove down to Springfield where we planned to stay a couple nights to see friends and family. Sunday we went with the kids cousins to Silver Dollar City. Don't everybody smile at once :-D

Fire in the Hole! Last year for this historic ride.

Started to get HOT in the afternoon. Finding shade while waiting in line for tater twists.

Kyle earns dad of the year by giving into Isaac's wishes to do mystic river. Ha! They were SOAKED!

We had come to SDC a year and a half ago before we left Wichita and saw it at Christmas time. Kyle really wanted to see the cave. We got in on the last tour of the day (before the lantern tour).

Kids were pretty excited about it, Mary wasn't really wanting to do it at first, it was cold and they were getting tired but she powered through.

Few hours before closing, kids starting to pewter out.

My brother came to meet us about mid day, him, Brayden, Kyle, and Isaac got in some more ride time while I had the three littles and got them ice cream.

Sunday dinner at Lambert's with my Dad.

Breakfast date with Thomas, lol.

Thankful for the basketball court at the hotel, Isaac got some good playtime in. And of course the kids loved the pool.

Mary ended up being sick on Monday - the day my mom came in to visit and that evening we had dinner with Kyle's buddy Matt. Tuesday we drove back up to Clinton to stay another night with Kyle's mom and headed back to Minneapolis on Wednesday.

Quick, exhaustive trip.
