Thursday morning, October 17th Oakley and I went for a run before being in the car all day. The moon was amazing in the morning!
You can see Oakley's glow band:
Then we drove the 7 hours south, he did good in the van.
We stayed at a hotel then drove to see Kyle's parents on Friday. Coming back up to the hotel that evening and my mom came to stay for two nights for a family visit. Kids enjoyed the pool.
Can't be in Kansas City without Minsky's or BBQ.
Oakley loving the hotel life.
Fountain on the Plaza
More pool time and girls taking selfies.
Saturday we went to check out the Negro Baseball Museum. It was pretty cool.
These are the feet that used to stand in the baseball park that Isaac played baseball at with League 42 in Wichita. Pretty crazy story and disappointing someone would vandalize the Jacking Robinson statue.
Oakley enjoying a pup cup from our walk to Starbucks.
Ice cream at Andy's another midwest favorite we miss.
Shopping on the plaza before dinner. Picking up the kids some pants.
Sunday we briefly hit the City Market for some coffee before heading back up north.
