Fall and Halloween

Saturday October 25th we drove up north to Open Door's trunk or treat. We weren't quite ready for halloween costume wise yet but we wanted to make it and see our friends that we've done this with for the past two year. We stopped a couple places on the way to look for a Steve Minecraft costume for Thomas with no luck... so he didn't wear a costume. Emma wanted to wear last year's ooggie boogie costume and Mary wore the stick man costume from two years ago which barely fit.

That evening Isaac attended a Halloween party at a neighbor friends.

Then Thomas and I got started on his costume. We decided to just MAKE a Steve costume.

The first day we got the box ready and I prepared to paint

I gathered all the teal/turquoise paint I had and worried about it looking shaded... BUT then remembered well he is actually pixelated so this would work out PERFECTLY having various shades of the color.

Thomas loved wearing it around the house. I ran out of the paint I had on hand so had to make a run to the craft store.

Still a work in progress but we needed a head box. Thankfully a friend had a helmet box that worked perfectly.

Mary lost a tooth.

Had to capture the fall colors while they were popping.

Almost there, a few more finishing touches to go.

Kyle trying the head on, lol.

Halloween Eve, got the finishing touches and cut an opening to see out of

Kids got two pumpkins carved on Thursday evening (Halloween was Friday)

Halloween came and Isaac had another party at a friend's house while our kids trick or treated in our neighborhood.

So much candy UGH!

Oakley turns 2

We estimate Oakley's birthday is around October 21st. Not entirely sure but now he's TWO!

Fall is in full swing.
