Girls' 11th Birthday

For the girls' birthday we did an evening at Great Wolf Lodge. It's an indoor water park about 20 minutes from our house. The boys were off school that Friday so we let the girls miss school as well. May 9th.

Loaded up and a quick run into target. Since we were so close we left Oakley at home and Kyle and I just took turns driving back to let him out.

Time to swim!

Wake board pool

First trip home, picked up the birthday dessert, let Oakley out and fed him. I think we couldn't check into our room until 3:00

I paid a little extra for the birthday package all for the door decoration.... throughly disappointed! Really, just a poster, weak GWL. The room was fun with bunk beds for the kids.

Presents time.

A little time at the arcade.

And then time for bed, it was fun having a room with a balcony overlooking the water park. Last day of being TEN!

Kyle did the evening trip home to let Oakley out and I did the early morning trip. At which point I picked up some decorations at the house and improved the look of our door decorations to meet my standards.

Breakfast - May 10th

Arcade time and more swimming that morning.

Mary had volleyball so we didn't stay too late at the water park, I think til lunchtime. Second cake back at home to sing happy birthday with candles. They'd asked for the marshmallow dessert (above) and a dirt dessert cake. When you're twins you get TWO cakes!

These were from later that week, working on the lego's that grandma sent.

It's been fun watching these girls grow! I can't believe they are off to Middle School now. Mary has found a love for ice skating and volleyball, Emma enjoys playing soccer. Emma loves puzzles and playing games as a family. Mary is so kind and patient with her siblings - playing Minecraft with Thomas and using the leader in getting chores done. They are both wonderful girls.
