15 months!

The girls had their 15 month check up yesterday, growing great! Everything looks good. They are both walking everywhere and getting into everything. Continually keeping this mama exhausted! And because of that this will be short and sweet, must take a nap while I can.

Mary's stats:
weighed 22 lbs 8 oz
32 in long

Mary still loves meat. She has three teeth and as of yesterday developed a little cold with a runny nose :-( she loves books and playing, I often find her running off on her own to play. She loves shoes and purses. I picked up little purses at a garage sale the other day and both girls love them.

Emma's stats:
weighed 20 lbs 13 oz
30.75 in long

Emma is one tomato away from turning into a tomato herself! ha ha she LOVES them! She still has 12 teeth, not sure if those eye teeth are working their way through. Emma loves to snuggle and has a blankie she is close to. She loves to give kisses, waves, and playing. She also likes to dance and move her head to music. She continues to be a very messy eater and usually gets a bath after every dinner.

Isaac loves to get his blocks out when it's time to take the girls pictures.

Lake Day with Friends 2015

Last Saturday we attended a second annual lake day hosted by some great friends for our 'old newly married' group. Our friend's parents have a lake house less than an hour outside of the cities so it was a great sameday get-away.

We arrived and the girls finished up their McDonald's hotcakes breakfast

The morning was fairly overcast but that didn't prevent us from having a good time. Of course all the kids loved the swing!

They had a paddle board which was super fun to go out on! Isaac got a ride with Enoch

Isaac picked me a flower out on his paddleboard trip.

As you can see it was kinda drizzly right before lunch, but that didn't stop anyone from getting in the water.

Then it was lunch time. We all brought our own meat then side dishes to share. IMG_3943

The sun eventually came out and it was a beautiful afternoon.

I took Isaac and Emma out on the paddle-board. Emma loved it, almost put her to sleep.

It was a long day, but super fun. The kids crashed on the way home and we picked up dinner at Applebees since we were too tired to cook dinner as well. So thankful for friends with lake houses, made our summer!

Sensory Table Play

We recently went on a trip to Missouri, but I will blog about that later. The Wednesday before we left I received a lens in the mail that I rented for the week (Nikon 24-300mm FX lens). I wanted to play around with it before we left so I took some photos of the girls playing outside while Isaac was napping.

I didn't want to deal with them getting all wet so we put oatmeal in the water table instead of water.

I turned my back for a minute, I think I ran inside for something but when I looked back out at them I noticed they were both just standing there with oatmeal in their hair.

I watched for a minute and saw Emma just casually dropping handfuls over in Mary's hair. It was so funny.
